White Rock Dog Rescue began in Dallas over 20 years ago by founder Lilia Hollis. It is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving the local dogs and fighting against the spay and neuter problems in Texas. Not only do they rescue stray dogs, but they also host adoptions and fundraising events throughout East Dallas. In this Q&A podcast, SMU senior Jillian Wright shares her experiences being back on-campus after months of virtual classes. From a completely normal school year to online classes to mask mandates, Jill has been through it all.
Jill begins by discussing how upperclassman students such as herself feel extremely overwhelmed this semester with impossible job searches, strict attendance policies, and lack of accommodations. Jill knows what a true SMU semester feels like, and this is not it. She finishes the podcast by offering suggestions on how SMU can help students cope during this time of distress.

YikYak Returns to SMU Campus
A messaging app called YikYak returns after a 4-year hiatus. The app targets college campuses and allows students to anonymously discuss exams, hotspots, and gossip. The app was orginally shutdown due to cyberharassment, but is back with new community guidelines.
